About the role:

The main purpose of your role is to be on standby to react to emergency works on the Severn Trent contract. When you are not out on site, your duties will include: keeping the yard area clean and tidy, maintaining traffic management equipment, ensuring operatives and visitors park in the correct bays, unloading and loading of TM vehicles and any other yard duties that may arise.  We are recruiting operatives on the below shifts:

8.00am – 16.30pm - Monday to Friday (some weekend working may be required)
16.00pm – 00.30am - Monday to Friday (some weekend working may be required)
12.00am – 8.00am - Monday to Friday (some weekend working may be required)

About you:

You would describe yourself as hardworking, committed, enthusiastic and flexible.  You have a real passion for working within Traffic Management. You are able to follow instructions as directed, however you are also able to use your own initiative when necessary.

Essential Qualifications & Attributes:

  • NRWSA Street Works Unit 2
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Experience working in a yard environment
  • The ability to take and communicate instructions / messages clearly and effectively
  • Flexible working
  • A helpful and willing attitude
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Able to prioritise and self-manage tasks effectively
