About the role:

The yard operative role is a busy and varied role. We are looking for a yard operative(s) for our depot based in Newcastle. You will work in the yard under the supervision of the depot manager. Your duties will include: keeping the yard area clean and tidy, maintaining traffic management equipment, ensuring operatives and visitors park in the correct bays, loading and unloading of TM vehicles, the filling of sandbags and any other yard duties that may arise. Your role may also include the making and production of traffic signs (therefore, a willingness to learn is important).

About you:

You would describe yourself as hardworking, committed, enthusiastic and flexible. You have a real passion for working within Traffic Management. You are able to follow instructions as directed, however you are also able to use your own initiative when necessary.

Experience working in a yard environment (preferable)
