General hours of work are 37.5 hours per week  Monday to Friday

About the role of Training Coordinator

We are actively recruiting for a full time Training Coordinator to join our Training Team, ideally based in our Head Office - Thame Oxfordshire, but flexible and home working will be considered. You will be part of the Central Training Function and eventually be responsible for the training coordination for one of our three regions – South East, South West and North.  

You will effectively manage and control your own workload which will support the smooth operation of our Training and Development team.  You will be confident and comfortable dealing with confidential and sensitive information as well as being able to work at pace.  Data input will be a key proportion of the role, so you will be happy to input and up-date records daily.  We are always looking at improving and developing our systems and business, so ideas and a pro-active, enquiring mind is ideal.

This is a critical role within the business and and involves building excellent working relationships with depot colleagues, and both internal and external (Supply Chain and Training Providers) customers. Attention to detail is key to this role in order to process paperwork for individuals recruited via agencies and subcontractors checking for adherence to Chevron quality standards. It also involves scheduling, planning and the recording of all training courses, employee qualifications and results of medicals. you will act as key contact between the trainer/assessors, training providers, occupational health practitioners and the employees. Other responsibilities include:

  • Update new starters and leavers details
  • Raise orders for the Training & Development team, as well as providing administrative support as and when required.  
  • Assist in the Highways England Passport Programme and monitor progression through TM qualifications and assessments.

What good looks like for a Training Coordinator:

  • Good computer skills,
  • Intermediate in Microsoft Office Packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience in a similar role would be an advantage
