About us:

Chevron Traffic Management specialise in the provision of temporary traffic management services throughout the UK, providing physical and digital traffic controls to ensure that schemes of work are carried out safely, whilst ensuring that our colleagues and the general public are safe.

Managing traffic for organisations working within Utilities, Rail, High Speed Network (motorways), Local Authorities and Events (Glastonbury, Tour de France etc) we place huge emphasis on our performance and ability to deliver, meet and exceed our clients expectations. We give expert support from the consultation and design phase, right through to work completion and sign-off.

As a business and now a Group, we have been on a major growth trajectory over the past 20 months, which has seen Chevron swell from 570 employees to a Group of c1300 colleagues and our location footprint move from 12 to 23. This development has been achieved both through organic growth and acquisition of affinity businesses, including a move into the Scottish TM sector. It is fair to say that our excitement to deliver on our future opportunities is one supported through our transformation plans and the cohesion of the brands and additional expertise into our 'One Group'.

The Role:

You will join a 'maturing' People Team, in that as a business our internal HR capability started in 2019 with the recruitment of our (at that point) HR Manager and HR Administrator.

Our team now comprises a total of 14 colleagues, offering a complete 'People' service including advice, business-partnering, resourcing, development (including mandatory training qualifications), and reward. This role marks one of three additional roles, which will support our capability, reach and overall service-provision to the business.

The People Partner provides consulting and coaching to Regional MD's and Operational Directors/ leaders, in order to support the business's vision, mission, and overall objectives.

Responsible for delivering a comprehensive and consumer-driven people service, you will align people management and commercial strategies and broker appropriate support and delivery through the most relevant service in the wider People team.

Your client group is the largest demographic of senior leaders and employees across the Group, who in-turn have responsibility for c900 operations employees. They are responsible for creating and driving revenue streams for the business and ensuring teams, structure and development strategies continue to support growth of both business, individual and functional/geographic area. It also includes the Bid and Commercial Directors, responsible for pricing, tenders and margin growth/profitability.

About You:

A seasoned HR Business Partner, holding CIPD level 5 or 7 and potentially a coaching qualification, you will be adept at offering progressive consultative support and guidance to a senior management population. A strong and clear communicator, skilled at flexing diplomacy and pragmatic advice with a true, strategic output and forward/commercially aligned diligence.

You will offer experience gained within transforming businesses and ideally have had experience within organisations who have grown substantially through acquisition and/or merger, therefore offering great practical experience of transformation, supporting and embedding business change and development of growth mindsets.
