This is an exciting time to join us on our journey to expanding our business. You will contribute to our success by overseeing regional activities and ensuring the effective delivery and development of the business. You will also be responsible for penetrating new markets and increasing business growth by fostering strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
There will be the opportunity for you to contribute to the development of regional plans and you will be responsible for the profit and loss and strategic planning activities for your own area. Establishing and embedding management procedures and controls, you will drive productivity and take overall accountability for business activities. You will be encouraged to collaborate with colleagues across the group to adopt best in class practices and create solutions that maximise profitability and add real sustainable value. This will include regular liaisons with the commercial and finance.

Strong influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally with sector stakeholders
Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to engage and develop a team.
Numeracy skills to manage budgets and bid costings
Proficient in managing profit and loss
Pragmatic and ability to create solutions that meet business needs
Local knowledge of the region’s construction and maintenance markets.
Commercial or business qualifications
Significant experience of the Highways sector
Proficient in the use of a PC, Microsoft Office software and ability to work with other business management systems and use remote technology eg Teams
Previous experience of successfully identifying and converting prospects and business leads
IOSH Managing Safely/SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent
Passed relevant Lantra Sector Scheme qualifications
