We are actively recruiting IPV drivers at our depot based in Middleton. Are you an experienced Traffic Management professional? Are you a hardworking and driven individual with the ability to work well in within a team? Do you hold an IPV licence?

About the role:

You will play an important part of a team that installs, maintains, and removes Temporary Traffic Management. Driving the IPV vehicle, you will safely assist other operatives in the deployment of cones, signs, frames, sandbags and other TM equipment from a vehicle on both High Speed and Low Speed roads We will look to you to get the most out of our Traffic Management Crews, whilst ensuring continual adherence to Health & Safety best practice and ensuring adherence to UKAS National Highways Sector Schemes at all times. At the same time, you will proactively train and mentor less experienced members of the team, and will respond rapidly to any adverse incidents. From initiation to end of shift, you will work alongside your crew - doing whatever it takes to fulfil client requirements whilst carefully mitigating risks.

At the start of each shift, you will be required to carry out vehicle checks as appropriate and ensure documentation has been completed. This includes ensuring all paperwork is kept and all on site records are correct. You will also have a full understanding of the Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the activity that is being undertaken.

About You:

Having been involved in 12AB works, you will be a team-spirited, adaptable and determined individual. A full UK driving licence, with no more than 5 points is essential, along with an IPV licence. You will be capable of interpreting rules, balancing priorities and have the ability to adapt to changing situations. You will bring a flexible working approach and be happy to work on a 48 hour contract, including evenings and weekends. You are also required to pass a Safety Critical medical and Drug and Alcohol test.
