About the role:

The ESG & Business Improvement Assessor role is a key role within the Chevron business. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of the Groups Integrated Management system, including the scheduling and delivery of both internal and external audits. You will also be responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the group. Reporting to the Group ESG and Improvement Manager, you will ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities. You will work alongside the business to provide guidance and advice on how to improve ESG performance and will collaborate to deliver value creation opportunities. Reviewing and owning the business continuity plan will also be under your remit, ensuring organisational resilience.

Your role will see you as being a key driver of change within the business. You will be expected to identify emerging ESG trends, risks and opportunities and in turn incorporate and communicate these changes to employees, suppliers & sub contractors, assisting them to understand and to adjust and grow with the groups transformation.

The roles will be site based and travel will be expected due to conducting site visits and audits.

About You:

A highly motivated and organised individual, you will have extensive knowledge of Internal audit skills for multi standards. You will thrive in facilitating and driving change in a fast paced and 'ever changing' environment, whilst leveraging leadership skills. Priding yourself as being a team player as well as being able to succeed working alone. A real positive and energetic person with a 'can do' attitude. A willingness to learn is also paramount as extra/ full training will be provided were necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:


• Internal Auditor skills for multi-standards e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO44001, ISO45001, ISO50001
• Have experience of business improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma etc
• Have Project co-ordination or assistance experience
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Proficient in the use of a PC and the Microsoft Office suite of software, inc. Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook and Office 365 Apps
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential including the ability to relate to people at all levels
• A spirit of co-operation and a positive 'can do' attitude
• Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Highly motivated
• Strong change management and influencing skills with the ability to negotiate and communicate at different levels of an organisation
• Ability to handle confidential information and with discretion


• IRCA Lead Auditor in ISO9001 or another significant standard
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Traffic Management experience - Operative/Foreman/LTMO/TSCO
• Proven business leadership experience implementing continuous improvement principles, driving change and leading continuous improvement initiatives, inc qualification to Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or other equivalent continuous improvement methodology
• Membership of appropriate professional bodies
