About the role:

The Group ESG Apprentice role is a new and exciting role within the Chevron Group, responsible for supporting the business in creating additional value, through Business Improvement. You will support the ESG Business & Improvement Assessor in providing the business with guidance and advice on how they can improve ESG performance and deliver organisational resilience. You will help identify emerging ESG trends and risks and opportunities, producing action plans to document your findings. Good communication and team work is also paramount to the role as you will collaborate with the supply chain to deliver value protection and creation opportunities, as well as liaising with customers and other stakeholders.

You will ensure compliance, monitoring legislation and regulations, in regards to H&S and Environmental issues. You will also review policies, processes and add value to audit multiple standards. Full training will be provided as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• Interest in Business Improvement, Health & Safety, Quality or Environmental
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Proficient in the use of a PC and the Microsoft Office suite of software, inc. Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook and Office 365 Apps
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential including the ability to relate to people at all levels
• A spirit of co-operation and a positive 'can do' attitude
• Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Highly motivated
• Strong customer focus
• Ability to work in a busy and fast moving environment
• Ability to handle confidential information and with discretion


Desirable:

• Internal Auditor skills for ISO9001 or another significant standard
• IOSH Managing Safely, Foundation Certificate or Certificate in Environmental Management, NEBOSH General Certificate
• Construction experience
• Membership of appropriate professional bodies, IOSH, IEMA, CQI
