About the role;

The Management Accountant role is a key and pro-active role within our Finance team. This is a hands on role and you will be responsible for all management accounting functions.  Working alongside our other entities, customers and stakeholders, you will ensure the business receives exemplary finance support.

The role is a busy and varied one and includes standard management accountant tasks, including; balance sheet reconciliations, VAT accounting, cash collection, fixed asset accounting, executing bank payments and cost analysis.  You will also work alongside accounts payable to ensure timely payment runs and ensure that all procedures are adhered to.

The production of monthly management reports and KPI reporting is also under your remit. Therefore, accuracy and efficiency is a given.  You will also assist  in preparation and delivery of both audit requirements and tax compliance.  You will ensure the reporting process is run efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications & Skills;

To be considered for the role you will be required to hold the below qualifications/ skills:

Essential:

  • Final level/past finalist accountant

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

  • Previous experience as a Management Accountant

  • Experience of preparing financial and KPI reporting

  • Excellent inter-personal skills, able to influence all levels of the organisation

  • Resilient, determined, willing to “go the extra mile”

    Desirable:

  • Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Supervision of AP and AR processes
  • Experience of supporting advisors in preparing corporation tax returns
  • Experience of a construction environment, or a long-term contract/ job costing environment
  • Experience of changing/ implementing new finance package
