Camps Highways is an experienced commercial landscaping and highway maintenance company committed to creating sustainable environments by working with clients to develop and improve maintenance and management schemes. We cover the soft estate sector on the strategic highways, predominantly including cyclical grass cutting, herbicide treatment, arboriculture and planting schemes. Our works are all located on the strategic road network.

The Role:

Working under the supervision of your team leader, the operative role is a busy and varied one. Your daily duties will include; carrying out the removal of hazardous trees, removal of trees obscuring traffic signs and site lines, removal of trees and vegetation so that planned works can go ahead, plot thinning/woodland management and the occasional pollarding/reductions of established trees. Training will also be given to the successful candidates if required.

Working as part of a small team, the majority of work will take place within traffic management working in teams of 3-4. You will be contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be a mixture of both day and night time working. Additional hours will be available.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• A good understanding of Health & Safety
• CSCS
• Full driving license B+E
• Always gives 100% and completes their work to the highest of standards
• NPTC Chainsaw CS30, CS31a, CS31b


Desirable:

• Experienced in highways soft estate works
• NPTC Chainsaw CS38 & CS39
• NPTC Chainsaw from a MEWP CS47
• NPTC Brushwood Chippers
• IPAF - MEWPS
